As part of this year’s Cahersiveen Festival of Music and the Arts, the Community Group, Cathair Saidhbhín le Gaeilge, in association with Cahersiveen Business and Community Alliance, will be facilitating and hosting a number of Irish Language and Cultural events as follows:

Saturday/Satharn, 30ú Iúil/ July - The Shebeen Bar 

12.30 – 2.30 i.n – Ceardlann/Seisiún Amhránaíochta, Bilingual Singing Session 

2.30 – 5.30 i.n – Seisiún Ceoil, Trad Session (led by Marion Cournane & friends) & Pop Up Gaeltacht 

Sunday/Domhnach, 31ú Iúil/ July 

11.30 r.n - Aifreann le Ceol Gaelach & le h-iomainn as Gaeilge. 

11.30am – Mass with Irish Liturgical Music and Song 

Daniel O’ Connell Memorial Church, Cahersiveen 

(Led by local musicians & singers)

The events are free to anyone who is attending the Cahersiveen festival.

The aim of this initiative is to facilitate community engagement with Gaeilge in a creative way, incorporating various aspects of our culture along with Arts and Crafts activities for the younger members of our community.
