This photographic competition invites members of the public to submit a photo under the theme “Roscommon Bound” representing a theme of homecoming and a sense of belonging to Roscommon. It ties in with the recently published Diaspora Strategy-“Roscommon Bound-A Global Rossie Strategy”.

Entries are under the categories of Child: Up to 12 years, Young Person: 13-17 years and Adult: 18 years and over. An awards ceremony will be held and an exhibition of the entrants will be displayed in the County Council Offices.

Using smartphones or cameras, take a picture and upload it as part of Cathaoirleach’s Award Programme 2020.  Images will be selected for publication/exhibition and a number of awards will be made. Entries must be in by the 24th April 2020.

This year for the first time, entries will be made through the new "My Online Services" feature of the Roscommon County Council website. This feature enables the public to set up their own account and have access to an ever growing online library of services and opportunities.

The Awards tie in with the County's strategy to "enable creative and craft sector to participate in and showcase events locally, nationally and internationally."
