Science Week @ Cavan and Monaghan

Cavan and Monaghan County Council are joining forces again during Science Week from  hosting a range of events for the 8th Cavan Monaghan Science Festival.

This festival aims to increase the awareness and visibility of science in our society, promote the importance of science for economic growth, to promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) at a local and regional level and to demonstrate that STEAM is fun, educational and social.

Some of the events planned for adults, children, family and all members of the public are as follows –

Climate action workshops, Water Quality presentations, inland fisheries Ireland demonstrations, geopark fossil practical’s, kite building, science workshops & demonstrations, career events in STEAM and lots, lots more besides!

School children will be treated to trips to the Bee Barn, CSI Water workshops, interactive marine science information sessions, fun-believable science demonstrations, chess workshops, colourful chemistry workshops and sensory nature workshops, and more!
