Athlone Family Resource Centre in conjunction with LipZinc Theatre are delighted to present 'The Wheel. 8 Festivals, 8 Stories, 8 lives. The wheel is a collection of mini plays inspired by the Celtic Wheel of the Year. Taking the stories of famous Irish Gods and Goddesses as stimuli, we will re-imagine these characters as real people in the modern world. We believe that now more than ever we need to power of storytelling to connect and take ownerships of our collective experience.

This project will educate the local community about Irish mythology and culture, and help us to reimagine Irish deities in modern form. Eternity sounds like on hell of a ride. So, batten down the hatches. Grab the hands of your lover, put on your best shoes and dance in a figure eight. We are  all connected and no matter what happens, the wheel will keep on turning.  The first of these mini-plays will air on 21st June 2021 at 9:00pm on the Athlone Family Resource Centres You Tube Channel and Lip Zinc Theatres YouTube Channel.
