Part of Cloughjordan Circus Club's approach to inclusion and equality is ensuring that all young people can develop themselves through circus regardless of their personal, social, economic or geographic situation. Having first met us through a taster session as part of the Irish Youth Circus Gathering in 2022, we were delighted in 2023 to begin a programme of workshops for the A-Team, a youth group in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary for Teens with Autism and a member of Youth Work Ireland. 

The aim of this project was to enable participants to gain confidence and opportunities for social interaction, so for our final session we played lots of our favourite group games and undertake some group circus challenges. We celebrated with a final group skip and include parents in the challenge.

 In 2024 we are thrilled to facilitate another series of workshops for the A-Team, the main emphasis of the project being to create moments for social interactions. Our experienced team of instructors have a full programme of activities including games, acro-balance, and a variety of circus skills, all delivered in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
