The City of Sanctuary is a cross stakeholder and community initiative to ensure that Cork City of a more welcoming and inclusive place for Refugees, Asymlm seekers and Migrant communities.

Two key projects as part of the City of Sanctuary movement are supported by Creative Ireland.

A research project with artist Martha Cashman and a Women’s group established by the Cork Migrant centre .

The group meets bi-weekly to identify and focus on the practical ways in which a difference can be made in their own lives through exploring their own creativity.

The group worked on various Art activities at each meeting and journaling  throughout the project  to collect ideas along with referencing points of interest in each activity and options to visit Art Galleries and Libraries.
