Clare Farmers Weaving Stories Together

The Clare’s Farmers ‘Weaving Stories Together’ project will visit five mart areas across County Clare (Ennis, Kilfenora, Kilrush, Scariff and Sixmilebridge) during September and October, inviting farmers in those areas to graphically capture stories of past, present and future farming.

Cuimhneamh an Chlair (Clare’s Memories) will work together with the local farmers to tell of their experiences of past, present, and future farming in their area. These sessions will be captured by a graphic recorder and videographer. Each session will be two hours, divided into 30 minute slots for each tense (past, present and future of farming in that area) and 30 mins for tea and chats afterwards.

Once the sessions are complete at each of the five mart areas, the information will be collated into a booklet which hwill be launched in glór. All participants will receive  a copy of the co-created Clare’s Farmers ‘Weaving Stories Together’ booklet, which will also be distributed throughout the Clare Libraries network.

Interested organisations who provide farming supports and services will be invited to host a stall to promote their offerings to the farming community at the end of the launch event.

Farmers who attend the marts on specific dates will be invited to participate. For more information contact Dawn on 065 6846276 or email agefriendlyclare@clarecoco.ie
