Every day cars idle outside of Waterford schools are releasing over 15 litres of pollutants a minute. Pollutants that can badly impact the health of young people. 

The Climate Team will work with two schools to deliver a clean air campaign, where students monitor air pollution outside their school on a daily basis, design their own clean air banner and share the findings of the air quality data for that day on a wall visible outside the school through creative means.
 

Parents will receive information on what they can do to improve air quality from artistic displays designed by the young people with support from local artists. Data collected will also be analysed to predict future health impacts and the impact on the schools efforts to reduce air pollution.
