Clonmel Applefest will be collaborating with Rogù Fire Arts and Clonmel communities to host another edition of its Harvest Procession and Release Ritual. Rogù Fire Arts in conjunction with a number of local artists and community participants will devise and choreograph this community event which aims to engage Clonmel people from all walks of life in a large community ritual celebrating the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the Autumn and darker time of year. 

On Saturday 24th September at dusk, members of the public are invited to join the joyful procession of noisy revellers which will leave from the town centre to make its way along the Suir Blueway for the ritual launch of its Caim Coracle, a small boat made from local hazel, transporting ‘release' messages. The merry company will then be escorted back from darkness by Rogù and its Fire performers towards the town centre for a Community Fire Finale at the Suir Island Plaza.
