To commission and publish Paddy Smith’s private diary documenting his experience of cocooning during the pandemic.

Paddy Smith (77) is a retired broadcaster and journalist with RTE and the Irish Independent. This publication will provide a legacy piece which will in the language of our time “speak to and for the cocooners of county Meath”.

The project, if replicated across the local authority sector, could provide a national picture of the Covd-19 experience for older people in Ireland.
