This November ComicFest 2023  will be run live across all of our seven South Dublin Libraries. Following on from last years success, this years festival will have 20 events across 7 libraries including exhibitions, talks and a wide range of multidisciplinary workshops such as storyboarding, comic making, illustration, drawing and animation. The festival will run over a full week with something for all ages from 4th-11th November 2023.

An aim of the festival is to promote arts and creativity through the medium of comics to audiences of all ages through South Dublin Libraries and to use library spaces creatively for workshops, exhibitions and talks . ComicFest2023 Events will be aimed at children, teens and adults and will provide an opportunity for citizens of South Dublin County to get involved and find or develop their artistic side using the library as a creative space. The past two years of the festival have been very successful, all of our events booked out and we had very good attendance form diverse audiences, so be sure to book early!
