Common Ground Environmental Events by Water Street Associaton

7-12 for the outdoor eco-art camps

7-18 for the creation of the mural

18 upwards for the circular economy events.

The outdoor Eco- Art Camps for children and young people will run from the 24th July to the 4th August Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm.  The summer camps aim to give children the time and the tools to create things from the beauty that exists everywhere in nature and to experience more deeply their connection to the natural world around them. As part of the biodiversity events our resident artist at Water Street Association, Mariza Maz Halliday will create a mural representing biodiversity on the long side wall of our premises which will be on instagram and will showcase native plants and animals and will involve local school children in the process of contributing ideas for the artwork and allow them to assist in the painting connecting them with the theme of biodiversity and sustainable communities. A celebration for the completion of the mural with a dedication event that will be open to the whole community.

Three events to support the circular economy.

First Event is ‘Sip & Swap’ clothes sharing event in April to mark Fashion Revolution Week.  People will be invited to bring a bag of pre-loved clothes to exchange, 28th April. Second and third events will take place during the summer and will express creativity and diversity through food cultures in two multicultural food events.

Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
