Connecting with the Past’ is a legacy project that will grow the capacity of local heritage and community groups to engage with historic burial grounds within their local communities. Cavan County Council's Heritage Office with Cavan Historic Graveyards Network will engage with communities and encourage them to view the heritage within historic burial grounds through a creative eye. Creatives and craftspeople will work with the local community on the care, conservation, and recording of historic graveyards. All works will be accomplished using best conservation practice and overseen by a conservation architect and if appropriate archaeologists will be employed.
