Architectural Farm, a design focused architectural firm based in Dublin, is working with young people attending the youth services of Loughlinstown Community Rooms to design an outdoor meeting space which can be used by all Centre Users.

This project includes the following elements:    

• Presentation to young people on the background of architecture
• Analyse existing examples of play spaces and objects to give the young people thetools to analyse their built environment
• Guide youth led discussions on the pros and cons of different possibilities while showing examples of good and engaging designs from around the globe and asking 'why not here'?
• Run group workshops using student drawings, models, photos etc to develop their ideas
• Encourage the children to analyse the proposals from a practical and design point of view and vote on the preferred options
• Develop and adapt the selected workshop designs in studio and production of Construction Drawings
