This initiative creates a positive and memorable experience through the planning, co-ordination and delivery of a creative arts project centered around the launch of a mini-boat to sea. This project presents a fantastic engagement opportunity for school children to engage marine themes but also explore Cork City’s cultural, historical and existing relationship with its maritime story.

Cork school children will be invited to submit artwork with a nautical theme to explore the rich relationship between Cork and the Sea. With the assistance of a local artist and graphic design partner. The designs will be collated, digitalised and a collage will be created which will be placed on the mini boat. This mini boat may serve as a fixed or mobile exhibition to tour local schools for further engagement if conditions allow. The artwork will also feature as a virtual exhibition and a mini boat pocket book.
