Cork MultiCultural Day 2019

Cork Multicultural Day 2019 took place in Cork’s City Hall on Saturday 14th September and was a great success. This is the 3rd year running that the event has been supported by Cork County Council with thanks to the Creative Ireland Programme and the event is also supported by Cork City Council. Cork Multicultural Day is for all generations to enhance cultural awareness and to remind people of the similarities and differences among cultures. The event, which is not-for-profit, included over a dozen cultural presentations from different nationalities around the world, many of whom who are resident in County Cork. Each group is invited to give a demonstration or performance of something related to their heritage/culture, be it a song, dance, reading, traditional dress or whatever they wish. The quality of the cultural presentations was exceptional and the day was enjoyed by all including delegates from Mexico, Sudan, Poland, China, Nepal and the Philippines as well as an exceptional presentation of Irish culture and heritage.
