Building on the success of our pilot Creative Cafés programme in 2023 , Monaghan County Libraries are delighted to offer continued Creative Café workshops in our local library branches. Creative Cafés are an opportunity for older people and isolated members of our community, who may be feeling socially excluded,  or anxious about getting out and about, to engage in creative activities such as painting, crafting. urban photography and creative writing. These activities can help alleviate stress by providing an outlet for self - expression and emotional release and may  serve as a form of relaxation, diverting attention away from everyday worries. 

Details of workshops will be publicised by the relevant library branch and on the Monaghan County Library and Creative Monaghan social media platforms.
