Capacity Building with Joyce Jackson through The Big Tree Project

The Big Tree project, was developed by Joyce Jackson after she recognised that there are few amenities, and no pervading sense of community in Adamstown. Though a series of multi-disciplinary creative workshops with Transition Year students, the project aims to place young people’s voice at the heart of community development.

Creative Placemaking with Creative Connections

A creative art project that engages with representatives of the community and relevant stakeholders in the area including new retailers who are arriving in the area through a series of creative Open days and questionnaires. Creative Connections will be positioned in Adamstown Community Centre, local schools and community groups will be invited to the community centre to undertake creative workshops using Graffiti art as a medium with a culminating in a community driven artwork for an existing bridge in the Adamstown area.
