The Creative Heartlands Film Bursary is a new award by Roscommon, Leitrim and Sligo local authorities under the Creative Ireland Programme in 2023. Open to both established and emerging filmmakers and production companies in all genres, from or living in the region to support the progression of an original Poetry into Film project in the region.

The bursary will be managed by the Creative Heartlands Film Development Officer as part of a wider project designed to support the professional development and sustainability of those working in the film sector and the design sector. This partnership project is led by the Arts Offices and LEOs in Roscommon, Leitrim and Sligo, with funding from the Enterprise Ireland Regional Enterprise Development Fund.  A wide range of partners and stakeholders are engaged across the film, design and broader creative sector in the three counties.
