Creative Ireland County Cork Grant Scheme 2020

The Creative Ireland County Cork Grant Scheme, now in its 4th year, has seen great success around the County. The involvement of groups in the Creative Ireland Programme and their working towards many of the actions in the County Cork Culture and Creativity Strategy has increased significantly over the years, evidenced by the success of groups in the Grant Scheme. In 2017, 35 projects were supported; 42 in 2018 and an increase to 63 in 2019. In 2020 it is anticipated that over €50,000 will be put towards the scheme to take account of this growing involvement.

The Scheme, which is financed through the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, under the Creative Ireland Programme, recognises the importance of the community sector to the county’s very culture and well-being and aims to support people and communities in undertaking projects that are in keeping with the priorities set out in the County Cork Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018-2022. Consideration will also be given to events that are being undertaken for the national day of culture and youth – Cruinniú na nÓg – taking place on Saturday June 13th 2020.

The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon on Thursday 23rd April 2020, which can be emailed to creativeireland@corkcoco.ie. Details are available here.
