Roscommon County Council, through the Creative Ireland Creative Communities Jobs Stimulus Measure 2020, is seeking proposals from the creative sector in County Roscommon to adapt, reposition or reskill themselves or to repurpose their assets/offering to ensure they may continue to connect and engage with their local communities.
Under this one-off funding stream, it is intended that the Creative Communities Jobs Stimulus Measure will
- place creativity at the heart of economic development,
- provide innovative and collaborative place-making projects in local areas,
- provide for the professional development of creative practitioners and/or organisations
Under the Creative Roscommon Craft Programme, Roscommon County Council proposes to support a small number if crafts people to design and produce a creative online programme to engage with communities, in particular children and young people, for 2020 and into the future. In these ever-changing times we live in, this is Roscommon's response to this funding stream in order to support the craft sector to bring culture to our citizens, imaginatively.
