Over the course of June and July we filmed with acclaimed musician Aoife Ni Bhriain in Athlone, Mullingar and at the Hill of Uisneach capturing and exploring the artistic and inspirational ‘Hinterlands’ and significantly the Landscapes and Locales that inspire artists working in the county today as well as celebrating the unique heritage of Co. Westmeath in a vibrant active manner. Filming also took place in the Luan Gallery, Belvedere House and at the Hill of Uisneach and related sites of interest.

Our ‘main event’ will involve bringing together the traditional and folk music community to showcase a celebration of Westmeath talent and music. We are currently in pre production and subject to securing a location/venue appropriate to the production while also mindful of the ongoing Covid restrictions which are due to lift on October 22nd.
