Waterford Intellectual Disability Association (WIDA) will work with writer Derbhile Graham to publish a booklet of stories written by people with intellectual disabilities. The participants will share stories about the lives they live today, and about moments from earlier in their lives that are precious to them. Derbhile Graham will deliver eight creative writing workshops which will help the participants create their stories. The participants will then edit their stories and the stories will be typset and printed. The service users at WIDA will be fully involved at every stage of the project, from choosing a cover design to fundraising and organising the launch. The booklet will be launched at a city centre venue which is accessible to people with disabilities.
