The Culture and Creativity Team in Dublin City Council are part of delivering the regeneration of the Docklands, a project not just about the physical and economic regeneration of the area, but importantly about people.
As part of the planned regeneration, The Creative Docklands Programme is designed to embrace the role of creativity in the lives of the residents in the dockland communities and demonstrate how engaging with creativity has the ability to bring about real, lasting change.
The stakeholders have been gathered in an initial consultation phase and include the residents of East Wall, North Wall / Sheriff Street, City Quay / Westland Row, Grand Canal Docks and Ringsend / Irishtown.
Having collaboratively sown the seeds of big ideas, the working group are now going to broaden the scope of their deliberations and discourse and will prepare a developmental plan and a way forward for this large scale innovative model of engagement.
