Drawing Club is an initiative at Butler Gallery to foster creativity in our audiences and to develop drawing skills. Drawing Club is a series of linked events beginning with National Drawing Day. This will be followed by life drawing events for adults and teenagers during summer 2022 and a kid's drawing camp. 

Taking place at the beautiful new cultural attraction of Evans Home, National Drawing Day will highlight Kilkenny culture. The main event will be a Life Drawing Marathon in our garden, working with local community groups as life models. Other activities will include a giant collaborative chalk pavement art taking place on our ramp, early years creative activities in our garden and a drop in children's activity centre in our Learning Centre. All events are free of charge!

Life Drawing activities will continue for both adults and teenagers throughout Summer 2022. Youth events will focus on animation and take inspiration from Kilkenny based Cartoon Saloon and Lighthouse Theatre productions. Life drawing classes will have a low fee. 

A children's drawing camp in July 2022 will take place in the grounds, galleries and Learning Centre at Butler Gallery. This camp will give children the tools to explore and develop their own creative potential.
