Local Artist, Patsy Preston and Costume Designer Roisin Lennon reached out to local community to get involved in creating bespoke costumes for the Bealtaine Fire Celebrations on Uisneach. Using quality fabrics such as linen and wool, they will touch on the history of these materials in the Irish setting, looking at the importance of these fabrics in times past and looking to the future sustainability.  Workshops runs from April - May, with  a workshop available on the day so that people can experience heritage crafts for themselves and enjoy an immersive experience with music and games.  At the Festival, there will be a grand procession up to the fire circle on the hilltop.  Here the Bealtaine Fire is ceremonially lit and beacon fires are lit on the surrounding hilltops.
