Eachuisce agus an Pilibín : Info Session

"Eachuisce agus an Pilibín…” is a collective collaboration with Birdwatch Ireland, Athy Women & Men's Sheds, Athy Wheelchair Service Users, and artist Cathy Callan.

Through conversations, field trips and a magical journey of art and imagination we hope to raise awareness of threatened and endangered species with special emphasis on our native and migratory Lapwing birds.

This collaboration will begin with a FREE informative talk for participants and members of the public, with speaker Tom McCormack, from the Kildare branch of Birdwatch Ireland, and artist Cathy Callan.

Highlighting and raising awareness of threatened and endangered species due to habitat destruction and climate change, Cathy will explain the inspiration behind her “romantic” seahorse and Lapwing project whilst Tom is looking forward to informing us about our native, elusive and migratory Lapwing bird, living here, in the Athy countryside. Contributions from the groups and questions are welcome following our discussion.

Thursday April 11th, 11am at Athy Library

All are welcome!
