Enniscorthy Community Allotments invites local gardeners and farmers to take part in Earthly Kaleidoscope, a wellbeing and placemaking project that will use creativity to enhance the users’ experience of the allotments. Building upon previous creative projects that compliment gardening and planting in the allotments, Earthly Kaleidoscope will put together a mosaic for the floor of the Dome building, celebrating nature and local wildlife.

The gardeners and famers will work with mosaic artist Helen McLean to design and develop the patterns and images. Forming a creative collective, the working group will support friendships and develop a strong social network. 

The mosaic will give the dome and the allotments a new energy, transforming the space into an area of vibrancy and colour. As a space that is used by the allotments for training, meditation, meetings and events, the mosaic will be seen and noticed often, offering a sense of pride to those who created it and those who experience it when visiting the space.
