Eclipse Youth Animation and Film Festival is now in its second year. The aim of the festival is to allow young people in the North West Clare region the opportunity to access professionally run, high quality workshops that introduce them to the world of animation and film. Children can learn the skills involved in film animation, explore their own creative and artistic expression through film animation and gain an insight into what is now a very realistic potential career path in Ireland today.

The workshops will cover various styles of animation such as stop-motion, 2D, 3D, digital, pixilation and hand drawn. Students who might be considering studying animation or film at third level can avail of Foley sound recording and portfolio creation advice.
