In 2021 Laois Culture & Creativity Team awarded 10 Equipment grants to creative and cultural individuals & groups. This is the second year of this grant scheme and the grant is only for the purchase of equipment that contributes to creative and cultural activities within Laois.

Awardees are visual artists Caroline Keane and Ella de Búrca, milliner Niav Reilly, filmmaker Louis Deacy, Laois School of Music, The Clodiagh Players (Clonaslee), Mountrath Youth Theatre, Make Port Makerspace, Mountmellick Embroidery Museum (Mountmellick Development Association), and The Twin Trees Art & Culture Festival.

This grant scheme supports creative and cultural individuals & groups to develop and sustain their practices in their localities and county. These creative and cultural practices contribute to social cohesion within our communities, as well as the economic development of our county as a whole.
