Shannonside Traveller Womens' Craft Group based in Shannonside Communtiy Centre are working with textile artist Joyce Tiernan over  a twelve-week workshop series  to explore traditional Traveller Womens' Textile craft, linking with cultural traditions and connecting them with current ways of life. 

Each participant will design a quilted blanket and then create this by hand using  traditional methods combined with some new techniques. 

The Quilts will tell a personal story reflecting parts of each participants daily life.
