Faith, Hard Work, and Endurance: selected tales from the Cavan Diaspora records patterns and destinations of emigration from all corners of County Cavan.  The benevolence of Cavan’s emigrants to their home county’s social and economic character was immense and can be observed in their support which helped to build new houses, churches, and schools, and assist family farms and businesses. This well-researched book is based on the lives and experiences of such men and women who left these shores to seek new opportunities.  This book will appeal to people with Cavan connections or those with an interest in the history of this unique and important Irish county. 

It is planned to launch the publication in Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan on Friday 28th July, at 6.30 pm.
