Féile Lachtain is a festival of arts, culture, history and heritage celebrating the vibrant cultural community of Freshford and its environs. This year commemorates the 1400th anniversary of the death of Saint Lachtain in 622.

As part of this festival, Ionad Lachtain are hosting an Art Exhibition in conjunction with Kilkenny Arts Festival. The exhibition will consist of local artists and will be curated by Marie Cleere, in St. Lachtain's Church of Ireland 11.00- 16.00, 4th- 14th August.

A series of concerts will also be held schedule including the much awaited, homecoming concert of local virtuoso Patrick Rafter and his extraordinarily talented family on October 8th at St. Lachtain's R.C. Church, 20.00. On October 15th St. Canice's Cathedral Choir and Organist will perform at St. Lachtain's Church of Ireland at 20.00.
