Goals: Our goal is create an opportunity to experience intercultural inclusion, integration and belonging within our many cultures in Galway City.   We will achieve this objective in separate workshops by working with youth and adults. These workshops will take place at Westside Library Galway and in the Direct Provision Centre, Salthill.

We will create a space for young children (ages 9-12) to experience and enjoy poetry and art. The workshop focuses on intercultural awareness, achieved by conscious inclusion of different nationalities in the class, as well as focus on the teaching of inclusion and diversity. Because the target audience is young, this will be achieved through games and poems that highlight similarities, rather than differences. The end product of the class will be a booklet containing the art and poetry created during the course of the workshop, which families can take home and enjoy.
