Filmmaker in Residence
Kerry's Film Maker in Residence, Jesse Gilbert, will focus his residency on developing filmmaking amongst young people both in and outside of the schooling system. There will also be an engagement with the community at large in order to bring the joy of filmmaking to a wider audience.
He will focus on facilitating one-day workshops at primary schools and secondary schools. Jesse will be offering his expertise to the Killarney youth film group SONAR. While the focus of the residency is working with young people, Jesse is also looking forward to engaging with the community at large to bring the joy of filmmaking to a wider audience.
Open sessions for people of all ages who are interested in filmmaking. The filmmaker in residence will answer any and all questions about how to make films, both fiction and documentary. All are welcome.
