under Creative Roscommon Open Call Strand 1: Community/Creative Collaboration we will support the ongoing development and operation of the Forget Me Not Choir under choir director AnneMarie Hynes.

The Group is a community choir who meet twice monthly and is made up of members of the community with various abilities and needs. Originally this choir was created to support those in our community with alzheimers and dementia along with their carers. The choir has grown exponentially and now caters for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. The choir attracts approximately 50 people at each gathering and continues to grow in its popularity. The needs in the group ranges from mild intellectual to severe physical  – including choir members who are non verbal with very  limited mobility reliant on wheelchairs and carers.
