The residency will involve engagement with children through community groups and schools, centred round their local library. The residency will also provide opportunities for parents and children to explore and enjoy reading and other family literacy activities together.

Mini Members Workshops in selected branches targeted towards parents & pre-schoolers who may not usually engage with library events and/or have not become members yet. 

 To introduce toddlers to interactive storytelling and inspire them to discover the library’s book collection. To encourage parents to take the opportunity for their toddler to become a library member if they have not already done so. To actively encourage parents to take part in discovering books with their children, and engage in ‘storytime’ together.
