‘Guth Colmcille’ will explore the life of St. Colmcille in Fanad. An icon of St. Colmcille will be commissioned in the parish of Clondavaddog and placed in the oldest church dedicated to St. Colmcille in the Diocese of Raphoe.

A brochure mapping all the key sites associated with Colmcille in Fanad will be published. This will direct people to an additional unspoken (‘Guth Colmcille’) chapter of the saint’s life; his time in Fanad. The brochure will be launched on 9th June, St Colmcille’s Feastday, at a special celebration event at S Colmcille’s Well, Carrowblagh and the new icon will be placed  in the shrine at St Columba’s Church, Massmount as part of a closing event on 7th Dec 2021.
