Lá na Cruite│Harp Day has been successfully curated and coordinated by Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland since 2017, and harpers all over the world will join this special day of celebration of our 1,000-year-old harping tradition. Here in County Monaghan, we are planning to host a live event bringing as many harpers as possible, music lovers and general public together for a unique experience, as well as a series of taster sessions into schools across the county.

The theme for Lá na Cruite | Harp Day 2022 is Harps Together. With so much division in the world, we are shining a spotlight on music’s ability to unite us. We are placing the harp at the heart of a celebration that will bring communities of people together, embracing musical and cultural differences and showcasing the glorious diversity of Ireland today. We warmly encourage harpers, event organisers and participants to play with this theme and to make it their own.
