This project focuses on the historic burial grounds of Cavan, a valuable resource and legacy in the county. Many of these historic burial grounds are at risk due to changing climate.

This project has a two-pronged approach: Build the resilience of these historic burial grounds through works carried out by local stonemasons; Work with the local community to demonstrate the craft of stone masonry using lime mortars, etc.

Cavan Heritage Office will collaborate with creatives and local historians to produce a podcast documenting the project to provide a legacy for future generations.   

This podcast will premier on Cavan Heritage and Cavan County Library websites and Facebook channels.
