This project is a community-based initiative aimed at engaging young people attending the KDYS morning group in east Kerry's rural areas through creative designing and tile making with artist Delia O'Donoghue based in Castleisland. The project aims to foster a sense of community pride and ownership in the creative potential of the area
- A series of workshops for young people in creative designing and tile making.
- The creation of a tile-based project by young people incorporating themes such as community, heritage, and sense of place and their experiences of them.
- The development of a sense of pride and ownership among young people in their community and their work.
The project will culminate with a final exhibition day for parents, schools and the public to attend. This will be held on the 20th of October 2023 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lyreacrompane Community Centre.
