In the Footsteps of the Past

Cavan County Council’s Heritage Office is celebrating National Heritage Week with an exciting free programme of events.  

Programme of Events:

Saturday 13th August at 5 pm.  A celebration of the Rath Church Killeshandra with music, poetry and a short film by Heather Brett shown on an outdoor LED screen.

Venue: The Strand, Townparks, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan.

Thursday 13th August at 7 pm. Heritage event with music, poetry readings and an artistic film by Heather Brett , shown on an outdoor LED Screen

Venue: Drumlane Abbey, Milltown, Co. Cavan.

Sunday 21st August at 3 pm. Heritage Week Closing Event includes poetry, music, cookery demonstration with local produce and an artistic take on the folklore of St. Mogue’s Island by artist Marilyn Gaffney, shown on an outdoor LED Screen.

Venue: The Keepers Arms, Bawnboy, Co. Cavan.

All events are free and open to all.
