Intercultural Headpiece Workshop Series

Join us for a unique series of workshops designed to bring together a small cohort of Ukrainian women and Irish residents through an intercultural project. Under the guidance of a local milliner from Kells, participants will embark on a creative journey to design and craft individual headpieces or hats that blend elements from both cultures. This project aims to build relationships and spark discussions about traditional headwear from Ukraine and Ireland.

Combining art, history, and fashion, this project will highlight the importance of headwear in different societies, revealing the stories, traditions, and craftsmanship behind these cultural symbols. Additionally, we will collaborate with other migrant communities in Kilkenny to enrich the experience.

• Dates: Weekly from Tuesday, September 24th to October 8th
• Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
