International Song Group
The International Song Group provides a safe space for women from various backgrounds and cultures to come together and learn from each other and world cultures through the medium of song. The group also explores the intersection of music and wellness.
The International Song Group meets monthly for an afternoon workshop. The workshops are facilitated by artists Farah Elle and Caroline Moreau.
Farah Elle is a Libyan born singer and song writer who has worked with a variety of community groups. Wellness is at the centre of her arts practice, guiding people of all ages and backgrounds to express their emotions and celebrate their unique identities through music & movement, as tools to develop confidence and emotional intelligence. These sessions include vocal techniques, vocal health tips, breathing techniques, how to manage writer’s block, performance anxiety, personal & professional development, energy release work, promotion of positive integration and improvement of overall general wellbeing.
French singer and songwriter Caroline Moreau is musical pedagogue and has been a teacher to varied groups (from school children to opera singers). Her techniques are inclusive and suitable for participants of all abilities.
Workshops are open to all women or persons that identify as women, they are free and there is no need to book. All singing abilities are catered for in a safe, creative and relaxed space.
