Keep Her Lit Bealtaine Gathering

The Bealtaine Gathering welcomes in the Samhradh season during this one-day festival on Sunday May 3rd in Graiguenamanagh. Join us for a seasonal celebration that rekindles the ancient Celtic festival of Bealtaine through a bilingual river walk, song sharing and singing workshop, traditional music & singing session, and folk concert with the inimitable Susan O’Neill.
Glór Bearú bilingual river walk combines inspiration and knowledge from the Irish language and ecology to deepen our understanding of our river ecosystems and what we can do to support them, led by Maura Brennan (Acorn Project / Nore Vision) and Siobhan de Paor (Wild Irish).
The Song Exchange workshop invites you to bring a song and the story behind to share in this participatory singing workshop. Participants will sing into the Summer, both solo (optional) and together, in a gentle and welcoming setting. All voices welcome!
Traditional Music and Singing Session - Local musicians and singers will play an open, inclusive and family friendly afternoon session in Mick Doyle’s pub. Song Exchange participants, families and friends are warmly invited to join the session.
The Concert features leading folk artist Susan O’Neill in the intimate Abbey Lane @ Mick Doyle’s. Susan stands as a bold voice in a world hungry for meaning, delivering songs that feel both timeless and timely. She invites listeners to lean in, feel deeply, and journey with her through soundscapes rich in emotion.
