The Kildare Women’s Sheds painting project is a project run by Kildare based visual artist Claire Murphy.

The idea of the project is to make a record of the women's sheds in Kildare in 2022. They are a very new initiative, and are emerging and growing, and this will be a visual document of these new and exciting sheds which are a fantastic inclusive amenity for the women of Kildare.

Throughout the project the artist will meet the women who attend the sheds, and through these interactions will collect visual data that she will use to create a series of portraits of the women and paintings of the sheds, showing the spaces and activities that happen in them. The project will culminate with an exhibition in late September of the paintings and launch of a small publication documenting the project which will include images of individual portraits of the women who attend the sheds, and of the group paintings.
