KTCM plans workshops for Traveller Community Youth to engage and create non-verbal pieces and a cultural animation piece to contribute to Kilkenny’s understanding of the Traveller Community. These workshops in conjunction with Lighthouse studios, Butler Gallery and local artists will produce a CANT (Traveller Language) book and film to be celebrated, a further step in breaking down barriers and educating people on the richness and value of the Traveller Community. This is a first in its scope & reach for KTCM and will celebrate Traveller Culture & Community in Kilkenny.
