Laois County Council Heritage Office and Creative Ireland Laois are programming a series of workshops for the Laois Festival of Flight (April 7-10 ) in Portlaoise. We are seeking artists that work in a range of diverse media to design, manage and deliver workshops that will inspire children and young people to creatively and imaginatively respond to the theme of ‘flight’.

The broad theme for the workshop programme is ‘Flights of Fancy’. We require proposals that respond to the ‘flight’ motif in a creative and imaginative way and are seeking creative facilitators from broad and diverse media. We require creative facilitators to deliver workshops for children and young people in a range of age categories: Ages 4 – 16 and welcome proposals from facilitators who can deliver workshops aimed at children with specific special needs (eg. Autism).

Your proposal should describe clearly what workshop participants will create

1. Will each child/young person create an individual piece of work to take home?
2. Or will the workshop group together create an installation made up of their individual pieces of work?
