Library Totem a project where participants from local community groups will create unique installation art for Tullow Library. The Library as a key culture institution in a small town like Tullow has a potential to support and engage with diverse communities. Participants will include members from community groups in Tullow such as Tullow Library Book club members, Men’s Shed, Ukrainian Community in Tullow, Family Resource Centre Gardening group members, Parents Association. A totem can be a powerful and meaningful symbol to bring people together, identify with a place, create or reinforce a sense of community during challenging times. During the ‘Library Totem’ project participants from local community groups will create unique installation art for their local library in Tullow.
