The Greenway will be a vital component to promoting the potential of North Kerry for both tourists and locals and will offer a unique asset to the area which will be self-attracting and will drive the development of sustainable tourism in the North Kerry area.

This project aims to highlight all that Listowel and North Kerry has to offer. The mural takes the viewer on a meandering visual journey along the Greenway through the lush North Kerry countryside, highlighting some of the key attractions eg. Listowel Castle, St. Johns, the Lartigue Monorail, our unique Shopfronts as well as our literary heritage. The brightly coloured artwork brings you from day to night starting on the Limerick (Abbeyfeale) border and ending with a stunning Sunset in Ballybunion along the Wild Atlantic way.

The objective of this project is to generate enthusiasm and interest about the Listowel section of the Kingdom of Kerry Greenways.

We want to inspire the local community to help shape our Listowel Greenway experience to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors who wish to engage in outdoor activities and discover what we in North Kerry have to offer.

This mural will form the beginning of a coordinated campaign driven by the Listowel Business and Community Alliance which will to showcase the town of Listowel and its amenities as well as the wider area of North Kerry. The campaign will include Banners,  Flyers, Posters and a social media campaign.
